Understanding Your Insurance Coverage
The cost of your visit depends on the agreement you have with your insurance provider. If your deductible has not been met, you may be responsible for the full cost of your appointment. While we make every effort to verify insurance benefits in advance, the information we receive from your insurance company may not always reflect the most up-to-date details of your plan. We encourage all patients to review and understand their own coverage so there are no surprises regarding payment responsibility.
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER
Before scheduling your psychiatry services, it’s helpful to confirm your coverage directly with your insurance provider. Here are a few key questions you may want to ask:
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it?
Do I have a copay and/or coninsurance?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do I need written approval from my primary care physicaian in order for services to be covered?
